Okay, I went for a run this morning. I found a great trail that I think you will LOVE K when you move up here. It is the BLT trail and it is surrounded by trees and a lake and every km is marked. It was a very nice run.
The run went fine. I was able to do the entire thing without any stops or breaks, so I will move on to run 2.2. Since I had to have a potty break on Friday, I am not counting it as a completed run.
I am not sure if I am running any faster. I do find at the end of the run I am going slower. I usually run different paths around the neighbourhood, so it is hard to know how far I am running (especially since I had a bit of a break the last time). I am finding that my recovery time is decreasing. When I did run 2.1a, I found that I was only just ready to do the run interval after the 2 minute walk, but today I was almost waiting for the beep to tell me to run. I am finding that my legs are still sore (really hope that goes away soon).

How long is the trail Rona? I'm definitely going to try it out when I move up there. You probably are getting faster you just can't tell because you switch it up. It you are definitely improving! Are you legs sore during or after the run?? I want to see Iron Man 2 also!
PS where do you get your apartment insurance from? And how much? I need that!
The trail is officially 13 km, but it continues through St. Margaret's Bay (from what I can tell 32 km more). I really liked the trail as it was fairly level.
My legs are sore before, after, and during the run. Typically around run interval 3 or 4, they start to get a bit more sore, and then walk interval 4 is even more sore, but it eases up for the 5th run.
DH got it added on with our car insurance - through Johnson's, I am not sure exactly, maybe around $70 bucks a year. I think I have a referral card. I will send you the info.
That trail sounds really nice! If you stick to running on the trail you will see you are going faster. It would be hard to tell how faster you are going taking the different routes. I stick to the same route because I am not running/walking up that huge hill! The hills the other way are bad enough and there are not monster ones.
